Fantastic food and very friendly staff with good english
Food and hotel reviews are relative. I liked the place, but give it 3 stars after eating in 10 different restaurants in town. Compared to other places it was overpriced for what it is( relatively speaking of course). The food was tasty and staff was extremely friendly. They didn’t accept cards and were ok with us missing 4 usd ( which we will bring them before we leave) so yes, very kind but no, to no cards.
The best lok lak beef in the city! Everything was good here.
Genevieve's has been one of the best restaurant for long in Siem Reap. Now they are offering an excellent cheaper menu that helps them to survive and customers to access cheaper meals (Covid crisis). The Khmer and Western menu can please everyone.Phil the owner is one of the most passionate and kind person we know in Siem Reap.Totally recommended!
Exceptionally amazing food. Not to mention the warm and friendly welcome from chef owner and all the staff. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
Really great dinner here on a Saturday night. We didn’t make a reservation but were easily accommodated. The food was fantastic-both the Khmer menu and the Western Menu. I had the Lab Khmer, which is a spicy cold beef salad and it was wonderful. Perfect portion size. My husband had the Australian beef, it was perfectly cooked. The staff were warm and friendly, and one woman in particular had a wicked sense of humor. We really enjoyed our evening!
We had a great evening at Genevieve‘s: Great food with high quality, super friendly staff and delicious cocktails. The cook is flexible with „special needs“ like vegan or allergies. Plus: they are active in supporting the local Community with fair Trade Products and fair wages. Definitely a recommendation when in Siem Reap 🙏🏽
Love a restaurant with story behind, and helps with the local community. And the food is just great... coming from an Asian myself.
One of the best dining experiences we had in Cambodia! The fish was very delicious as well as the noodles. We ordered spring rolls for appetizers too and the food was served pretty fast (the fish took longer) and price was very reasonable for the area. I'd totally recommend it! The staff is very friendly and drinks were also tasty.
Well run establishment with delicious food. Staff are attentive without being overbearing. Tables are well spaced so you don’t have to hear the dramas of other dinners. And the food is well worth the tuk tuk ride.
What a great find - you are offered a genuinely warm welcome from the staff. The menu has both Asian and Western choices - so plenty to suit all palates. We went for the Asian food - delicious salad and chicken starters followed by the fish amok and beef mains. Absolutely fabulous - freshly cooked to order and great flavours. We treated ourselves to a bottle of chilled Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc - divine. Wonderful experience - we thoroughly recommend - we will be back !!!
The food here is so yummy! I tried the fried squid, chicken curry and chicken pasta! All are great! Price is not expensive and they give back to charity which is a big plus!Take note they open for lunch and dinner only. (11am to 2pm and 5pm to 9pm)
Excellent meal. I chose European and loved it while my husband chose from the local menu, both delighted. I love they don't sell you plastic bottles of water but have iced water jugs ready.
We went there at noon. There was no other customers and the food came really fast. They were delicious. We loved lok lak and fish amok the most.
Such an amazing place with very very reasonable price. Too much meat for me hahahaha. Crepe too sweet though, like all the other deserts here in Cambodia.
Wonderful food. Excellent service. Great price. Contributing to the community. Genevieve's is truly a remarkable place and I will return.
Beef lok lak is AMAZING. My favorite restaurant in Cambodia.
Delicious food, friendly staff, very spacious environment.
Very cool restaurant that prides itself on its history. The food is very good and it's a good location if you're on that side of the river. It is a little pricier than other places but it's because they pay the staff well and the staff do a great job in return. I think it's a win-win. Definitely check this place out when you're hungry!
I have been travelling the world for the last 6 months dinning in restaurants from Michelin star to street food. Tonight we dined at Genevieves, from the moment we walked in this place captivated me. Phil's story, the staff and the ambience smothers you with warmth like an embrace from your loving family. Phil and his delightful waitress carefully went through the menu, explaining several items and suggesting top sellers. Based off their recommendations we choose a starter of rice paper spring rolls with mains of 2 types of beef. The dishes were AMAZING. The flavours felt like they were dancing in your mouth. I am so glad we found this restaurant on our first day in Siam Reap because I can see many future visits coming.
Thank you guys for this place. We were so lucky to live across the street from this restaurant, so we have tried most dishes from the menu. Everything was very good. But some extremely good. Red fish wish glass noodles, chicken curry, Australian beef, mango salad — all was the best in Cambodia for us. Wish all the best. Can't wait to visit this place again
Amazing authentic Khmer cuisine - we ordered Fish Amok & Khmer Chicken Curry and both were very flavorful! The fish is light and flaky and the curry sauce has a peanut base to it, very good! The Khmer curry is a sweet hot curry chocked with potatoes carrots and chicken.
I had an enjoyable meal there, the waitress was charming, didn't wait long even the place was full. The give 10percent of the income to the waiters so they can eventually use that money to start their own business. Greatly liked it
Deserves more than ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Owner was awesome and really kind and the food is probably the best in town when. Servers were very attentive and hardworking. If you want to come here, don't go on an empty tummy as you might need to wait a bit to be seated, but even that's not too long. Highly recommend! Try the duck and pork.
Great food and awesome service. Very thankful to have them still open! A must go to!
I was referred to this restaurant by my local tour guide. It serves great Khmer and Western Cuisine. Great service, great food, at a great value. Do go down early or make a reservation to secure a place. Tried the chicken curry, absolutely delicious. One of the better, if not the best restaurants I have tried in Siem Reap.
Good food, good food, good food and service
Excellent food and service! We went two nights in a row because we enjoyed it so much!
Great food and atmosphere! Prices very reasonable. We would go back tomorrow but closed on Sunday!
Second time in Siem Reap, came back to GENEVIEVE'S. One of the best food. They have now moved to a bigger place. Nicer environment and more seats, the food is still awesome. You may need to call for reservation, is always crowded. Try to beef lok all and amok. Is vegetarian friendly as well, they are able to customise the food based on your vegetarian request. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, generous portion of local and Western choices. Really liked their slow cooked lamb shank and fish amok. Mango salad is a must have.
The owner is really nice! He stopped by our table and chatted with our group. The food is excellent as well!
Amazing place... amazing food. We looked at several places in this neighborhood...near our hotel. And we are so glad that we came here. The food is delicious. Good sized portions and made fresh. Also, the desserts are incredible. Great food for a modest price. Don't miss this one!
Great food and friendly service. Some of the best food I've had in ages. Would highly recommend
Food was nice but the three dishes we had were not great. All three dishes were a little to sweet for our taste and the waiter didn't ask at any time if we liked it.
I was impressed with food and service. But the service charge on the bill will stop me returning
Amazing Vegetarian Khmer food! There is a separate menu for vegetarian (2.5$ - 5$) options however they are willing to change a main order to vegetarian. Classy ambiance and smiling staff. We were offered more rice several time but the servings were so big we could not take it! Literally the best Khmer food we had in Siem Reap... we finished it all!
This restaurant got story. I am not gonna disclose here and please to and read it when you visited there. You’ll find it very meaningful if you think food is about communication of love and about sharing. The place contains lots of mosquitoes but there’s mosquitoes repellent provided. So kind of them.Place is lovely and relaxed. All staff is having morning glory smile and very sincere. I’ve spent 2 hours there for dinner which half of the time is chit chat with their staff. They are willing to share their world and understand your hometown too. It values more than anything for a tourist to understand how local lives and their thought!I’ve ordered a spring roll, lak lok, mango ice cream with 2 sets of draught. It costs me USD20. It wasn’t too expensive at my hometown but already kinda above average there. Nevertheless, it’s my best restaurant pick in SIEM REAP.
We stopped in to Genevieve’s and ordered takeout the first night of our trip. The staff was super friendly and while we waited for our food the owner chatted with us and very kindly shared a list of his favorite restaurants in Siem Reap, which we so appreciated. The food we ordered was DELICIOUS. Everything was so tasty and cooked to perfection. A lot of love goes in to their cooking. Highly recommend this lovely, heartwarming restaurant.
good food. Owner is good for his staff and it’s all very cost effective Nice restaurant and worth supporting
After closure for a while due to downturn in tourists as a result of Covid-19 Genevieve’s has reopened. Food was great, staff were friendly and attentive. We had a table for five including two adults and three youngsters. There was no problem with extra plates for sharing a few dishes. Everyone enjoyed dinner and dessert options were also lovely.
Beautiful environment and yummy food. Can easily reach this place with a tuktuk. It’s not too crowded when I went there, so I can really enjoy my food and the ambiance. Worth-trying if you ever visit Siem Reap.
It has a great food. But the location is hard to find.. staff are nice as well. I love the steam fish
Love the story of the restaurant and I had the best curry here! The gravy was really thick and it's not too spicy! All the food were freshly made as you can see them preparing the dishes in the kitchen. The ambience is really good for couple to enjoy their time there. Will be back again!
To start off, the food was incredible. So fresh and clean. The menu includes a wide variety of dishes. From local Khmer food to western style options. You can come here several times to try something new and not be disappointed. Secondly, the story behind the restaurant is inspiring. They give 10% of all profit to local charities. The owner, Phil, is a great man who was there greeting every guest that came in both nights we were there. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating and even made recommendations on popular menu items. We had 2 beverages, 2 appy’s and 2 entrees for less than $30 USD. Which where I come from, is insanely low.
Such an inspiring story and I'm sure Genevieve is smiling right now with how the restaurant has helped a lot of people. Aside from the inspirational story, the food was great! I had the fried veggie spring rolls & fish amok. Highly recommended.
Phenomenal meal. Lovely staff, great story and history behind the place and wonderful food. Everything they serve is cooked with passion and joy. Smiles all around.
Fantastic and beautiful restaurant, but more importantly the incredible kindness that comes from the staff. The food is fantastic. On the menu you will find Khmer and traditional dishes. If you can do it more than once, come here to try more food. Thank you for all the experiences we have received from you here. 10*
Very welcoming atmosphere . The food is very delicious and the place is nice
